Prep Golf: Silvestri wins playoff for Southern Oregon Junior Championships title

MEDFORD — Roseburg junior Lana Silvestri is wrapping up her individual summer golf schedule and earned a big win at the Southern Oregon Junior Championships on Tuesday at the Rogue Valley Golf Course.

Silvestri finished the 36-hole tournament tied with Hannah Wendorf, a junior from Lake Oswego. The pair were both 11-over par (155) and went to a sudden-death playoff.

Silvestri made a birdie on the first playoff hole to clinch the tournament title.

Silvestri will finish up her summer schedule this weekend at the Future Champions Golf Pac Northwest Junior tournament at Trysting Tree Golf Course in Corvallis. The top two finishers in each age group qualify for our 2027 FCG Callaway World Championship.
