Prep Boys Basketball: Grants Pass completes season sweep of Roseburg with 73-45 victory

GRANTS PASS — Jordan Rossetta and Bronx Ely scored career highs to lead the Grants Pass Cavemen past the Roseburg Indians 73-45 in a Southwest Conference boys basketball game Tuesday night at Heater-Newman Memorial Gymnasium.

Rossetta notched 14 of his game-high 31 points in the first quarter to help Grants Pass (7-10, 4-3 SWC) build a 28-7 advantage. Ely scored nine of his 14 points in the second half.

Roseburg (0-19, 0-7) got to within 16 points in the third quarter, but the Cavemen stifled all comeback efforts by the Tribe.

Tristen Frable had 13 points to lead Roseburg. He was 7-for-9 at the free-throw line.

Roseburg will visit Willamette for a SWC game at 6:45 p.m. Friday in Eugene.
