Prep Boys Basketball: Early deficit dooms Roseburg in 63-30 loss to Grants Pass

A cold start put the Roseburg Indians in a deep hole that they were unable to overcome in a 63-30 Southwest Conference loss against Grants Pass on Tuesday night at Robertson Memorial Gymnasium.

The Cavemen used a 10-0 run in the first quarter to stretch the lead to double figures. The Indians were scoreless for over four minutes of game play.

Grants Pass (4-10, 1-3 SWC) held a 20-5 advantage after the opening eight minutes and the lead continued to grow from there.

Roseburg (0-15, 0-3) struggled offensively all night. The Tribe was held to less than 10 points in three of four quarters and fell well below it’s season average of 49.1 points per game.

Harrison Scott led the Indians with 9 points in his return from a foot injury.

Jordan Rossetta finished with 19 points to lead Grants Pass.
