North Douglas girls drop quarterfinals game 54-41 against Crane
BAKER CITY — In a rematch of last season’s 1A state championship game, the North Douglas girls once again came up short against the Crane Mustangs.
The Warriors led by a point at halftime, but it was a 16-6 run over the final four minutes of the quarterfinal match that gave Crane a 54-41 win on Wednesday at Baker High School.
The Mustangs dominated inside outscoring North Douglas 26-8 in the paint and Crane scored 19 points off of 30 turnovers by N.D. Crane advances to face Imbler in the semifinals on Friday.
Brooklyn Cyr had a game-high 28 points and a team-high nine rebounds to lead North Douglas. The Warriors will face North Clackamas Christian in the consolation semifinals Thursday at 10:45 a.m. The winner will move on to play in the 4th place game on Saturday.
