Fely earns second NWAC South Region POY award

VANCOUVER, WASH. — The Northwest Athletic Conference announced the end-of-season All-Region basketball awards on Monday night and Umpqua Community College sophomore Brooklyn Fely was named the women’s South Region Player of the Year for a second time.

Fely, who was the South Region and NWAC Player of the Year as a freshman in 2024, led the NWAC in scoring (22.9) and rebounding (13.9) averages and shooting percentage (60%). The Orem, Utah native also ranked top 10 in blocks (1.3) and assists (2.3) per game.

Davies

Fely was also selected to the South Region all-defensive team to wrap up an impressive second season with the Riverhawks.

Umpqua’s Rebekah Beltran and Male’eta Polamalu were voted to the All-South Region second team.

Former Sutherlin High School standout Micah Wicks earned her second first team All-South Region selection for the Lane Titans, who won the South Region crown with an undefeated record.

Umpqua’s Bowen Davies was a first team All-South Region men’s basketball selection after leading the NWAC in rebounds (13.1) and blocked shots (3.7) per game. Davies finished with 20 doubles-doubles during the 2024-25 season. The Murray, Utah native was also voted the South Region Defensive Player of the Year.
