Sprague’s defense stifles Roseburg boys in 84-51 nonconference win

SALEM — A supressing full-court press and a flurry of 3-point goals sent the Spargue Olympians to an 84-51 victory over the Roseburg Indians in a nonconference game Tuesday at Sprague High School.
Sprague’s Elijah Schmidt made six 3-pointers to help the Olympians pull away from the Indians. The sophomore finished with 21 points. Senior Jarod Stanley led Sprague (2-0) with 30 points.
