#UmpquaPreps — Oakland football topples Myrtle Point 29-14 in quarterfinals

SUTHERLIN — Gabe Williamson ran for 228 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Oakland Oakers to a 29-14 win over Myrtle Point/Pacific in the quarterfinals of the Class 2A state playoffs on Friday at Sutherlin High School.

Williamson scored three times in the fourth quarter to help the Oakers break an 8-8 tie game.

The Oakers advance to the semifinals for a third consecutive season and will face Gervais, which beat Stanfield 18-6 on Friday at Woodburn High School. The semifinals are tentatively scheduled for Saturday.
