New Oregon State Beavers license plates now available through Oregon DMV
SALEM — Fans of Oregon State University athletics have a new way to show off their pride for the Beavers. The Oregon DMV is now offering pre-sale vouchers for a new OSU license plate that will support Beavers athletics.
The plate design has a black background with tree rings. The Beaver head logo sits on the left side of the plate and the slogan “The Beaver State” runs along the bottom. Once there have been 3,000 vouchers sold the DMV will start producing the plates.
The plates are expected to be available to the public by fall of 2024, according to Oregon State.
Sales of the plates will support OSU athletics. The OSU Beaver plate has a $40 surcharge due when first ordered and at each registration renewal. Approximately $35 of the surcharge goes back to support OSU Athletics and university strategic initiatives, the university said in a release.
More information on the OSU plates can be found on the Oregon State website and details on state of Oregon specialty plates can be found on the Oregon DMV website.
