At the conclusion of last weekend’s basketball state championship tournaments, a number of local hoopers were selected to their respective all-tournament teams.
Sutherlin’s Addy Clark was a first team selection at the Class 3A girls state tournament in Coos Bay. Clark helped lead the Bulldogs to a fifth place finish at state.
Oakland’s Joseph Fusco was a first team selection at the Class 2A boys state tournament in Pendleton. The Oakers were also selected as the sportsmanship trophy winner for the boys’ tournament.
Brooklyn Cyr from North Douglas was one of three unanimous first team selections in the Class 1A girls state tournaments. Her teammate, Brooke McHaffie, was also named to the five-player all-tournament first team. The North Douglas girls were also awarded the sportsmanship trophy for the state tourney.
The Elkton boys were awarded the Class 1A boys state tournament sportsmanship trophy and North Douglas sophomore Hunter Vaughn was named to the Class 1A boys all-tournament second team.
