The high school basketball state playoffs got underway Tuesday with the start of the Class 1A boys playoffs.

The 19th-seeded Elkton Elks upset 14-seed Crosspoint Christian 69-54 in Klamath Falls. Bodee Block had 21 points in the win for Elkton.

The Elks will face 3-seed Open Door Christian Academy in the second round on Friday in Troutdale.

The 11th-seeded North Douglas boys blew by 22-seed Condon 64-30 in Drain. Jayden Montgomery and Hunter Vaughn both scored 19 points to lead the Warriors.

North Douglas advances to face 6-seed Sherman in Moro on Friday in the second round of the playoffs.

The 31st-seeded Days Creek boys ended the season with a 72-53 loss at 2-seed Nixyaawii. Keegan Stufflebeam provided a game-high 20 points for the Wolves in the loss.
