After a stellar week on the court, the Oregon State Beavers were rewarded with a pair of Pac-12 weekly basketball honors.

Sophomore guard Jordan Pope was named the Pac-12 men’s basketball player of the week after helping the OSU men sweep the Arizona schools. Pope averaged 25.0 points per game in wins over No. 9 Arizona and Arizona State. He also hit the game-winning 3-pointer in the upset win against the Wildcats on Thursday.

OSU’s Donovyn Hunter was selected as the Pac-12 women’s freshman of the week. Hunter — a South Medford graduate — scored 16 points in the Beavers’ upset win over No. 3 Colorado on Friday and followed that up with a career-high 17 points in the win over No. 16 Utah on Sunday.

The Oregon State women climbed in the Associated Press top 25 after their back-to-back top 20 upsets. The Beavers moved up seven spots to No. 18. OSU is one of six Pac-12 teams currently in the rankings.
