It was a successful journey to South Africa for Glide High School’s Carter and Drew Dawson.

The twins spent 21 days overseas with the Oregon Culture Exchange team and went a combined 38-2 in numerous wrestling tournaments and duals.

The adventure concluded on Saturday at the Centurion Warriors Open in Johannesburg. Drew Dawson went 8-0 on the day to win individual titles in the Freestyle and Greco-Roman tournaments at 48 kilograms. Drew won all of his matches in the tournaments by either technical fall or pin. The soon-to-be sophomore went 20-0 in all of his matches during the trip.

Carter Dawson was 8-0 on Saturday and won titles at 51 kilograms in the Freestyle and Greco-Roman tournaments. Carter was 18-2 in his matches during the trip.
