A trio of local baseball stars were selected to the Class 3A All-State team, announced on Wednesday by The Oregonian/Oregonlive.com.

South Umpqua senior Jace Johnson was named a first team All-State pitcher. It’s the second All-State honor for Johnson, who was a second team selection after his junior season in 2022.

Douglas junior Evan Martin (infielder) and South Umpqua sophomore Drew Camp (outfielder) were both second team selections.

Banks, the 2023 3A state champions, took the top honors. Senior Logan Kind was the state player of the year and Joe Baumgartner was named the coach of the year.
