Class 3A —
South Umpqua 34, Yamhill-Carlton 21
The South Umpqua Lancers elimanated Yamhill-Carlton in the first round of the playoffs for a second consecutive season. Jace Johnson connected with Aden Williams for a pair of long-distance touchdowns, but the Tigers rallied from a 28-7 deficit to get within 28-21 early in the fourth quarter. The Lancers stretched the lead to 13-points with a score midway through the fourth quarter.
South Umpqua will host Dayton in the quarterfinals next week.

Class 2A —
Oakland 56, Clatskanie 14
Top-ranked Oakland scored on its first four possessions to pull ahead of Clatskanie 32-0 early in the second quarter and the Oakers rolled to a big win over the Tigers in the first round. Cade Olds had three first half rushing touchdowns and carried the ball for over 170 yards.
Oakland will face the winner of Umatilla and Nestucca next week.

Volleyball

Class 6A —
WESTVIEW def. Roseburg 28-26, 15-25, 25-21, 25-23 (3-1)
Roseburg fell to two-seed Westview in the quarterfinals of the Class 6A state playoffs at Forest Grove High School. The Indians will take on South Medford in a consolation game Saturday at 8 a.m. A win for Roseburg would put the Tribe in the fourth place game at noon on Saturday.

Class 2A —
CULVER def. Oakland 26-24, 25-18, 25-21 (3-0)
The Oakland Oakers were unable to challenge the five-seed Culver Bulldogs in the Class 2A quarterfinals at Ridgeview High School in Redmond. The Oakers will face Willimina in a consolation match on Saturday at 10 a.m. The winner will play in the fourth place game Saturday at 2:15 p.m.

Class 1A —
North Douglas def. CRANE 25-22, 22-25, 22-25, 25-20, 15-12 (3-2)
North Douglas def. ST. PAUL 25-15, 25-19, 20-25, 25-19 (3-1)
The seven-seeded North Douglas Warriors picked up wins over two-seed Crane and three-seed St. Paul to advance to the Class 1A state championship game on Saturday. The Warriors will have a chance to defend their state title from last school year when they face top-ranked Damascus Christian in the finals at 6 p.m.

DAMASCUS CHRISTIAN def. Umpqua Valley Christian 25-7, 25-15, 25-18 (3-0)
Umpqua Valley Christian fell in straight sets to top-ranked Damascus Christian. The Monarchs square off with North Clackamas Christian in a consolation game on Saturday at 8 a.m. The winner will advance to fourth place game on Saturday at noon.
