It was a couple of wins to wrap-up nonconference play on Saturday for Oregon and Oregon State football. Both programs will face Pac-12 competition this weekend.

As the Ducks and Beavers get ready for Pac-12 play, they’re both garnering national attention.

UO moved up ten spots to No. 15 in the country in the latest Associated Press top 25, released on Sunday. The Ducks rose through the rankings after their upset win over the previously 12th-ranked BYU Cougars on Saturday in Eugene.

The Ducks are the third highest ranked team out of the four ranked teams in the Pac-12 Conference.

USC remains in the top 10 at No. 7, Utah checks in at No. 13 and Washington has entered the rankings for the first time this season at No. 18. The Huskies upset Michigan State, which had been ranked No. 11 in the country.

Oregon State continues to inch closer to the national rankings, but despite being 3-0 to start the year, the Beavers are still seven spots outside the top 25. OSU did move one spot closer and received more points in the voting after defeating Montana State on Saturday.

Washington State is also in the group of teams receiving votes but outside the top 25.

Oregon State will have its chance to truly put the team on the map when the Beavers host No. 7 USC on Saturday in Corvallis.

Oregon will visit Washington State on Saturday. The Cougars have started the season 3-0.
