High school football in the Umpqua Basin will kickoff the fall 2022 season on Sept. 1.
It’s going to be another busy season with 12 teams in the region and things will look a little different after conference realingment, the creation of a nine-man division, more schools embracing six-man football and plenty more changes.
The Score 92.3 FM/1490 AM will preview the upcoming high school football season with its premiere episode of The Umpqua Basin Tailgate Show on Friday, Aug. 26 from 12-3 p.m.
Joey Keeran will talk with head coaches from every high school team in the Umpqua Basin and get insights into their upcoming seasons. Plus, he’ll cover the many changes happening this school year.
The Umpqua Basin Tailgate Show will continue throughout the fall all the way to the Super Bowl. The program will air Fridays from 12-2 p.m. and focus on high school, college and professional football. The show will dive into the latest news and debates surrounding the game, preview upcoming matchups throughout the weekend, interview players and coaches and take input from the listening audience.
