The Roseburg American Legion baseball program has announced it is accepting applications for its next head coach of the Dr. Stewart’s AAA team.

The team, a longstanding summer staple in Douglas County, features the top players from high schools in the region. The Docs typically play approximately 40 games during a summer season, culminating with the Oregon state tournament.

Jeremiah Robbins, head coach of the Umpqua Riverhawks baseball team, coached the Docs for the past four seasons and stepped down at the end of July to focus on running the UCC program and spending more time with family.

Those interested in applying or with questions about the position can contact Legion commissioner Greg Admire at 541-580-1689.
