PENDLETON — The Roseburg High baseball team scored five runs in the first inning against The Dalles and rolled to an 11-1 win in five innings to finish out play in the Pendleton Tournament on Wednesday.

The Indians took advantage of errors and poor pitching by the Riverhawks to put up a crooked number in the first inning.

Austin Takahashi got the Tribe on the board with a triple in his first at bat. The junior finished the game 1-for-3 with two runs batted in.

Roseburg (4-3) tacked on four runs in the third inning. Dominic Tatone got the scoring started with a double.

Takahashi threw a complete game and allowed just four hits over five innings. He also struck out eight, while walking one.

Nolen Donivan had two hits, including a double, to lead the way for The Dalles (1-5).

Roseburg will return home and next hosts the West Salem Titans on Tuesday.
