Basketball season is coming soon for younger players in Douglas County. The Boys and Girls Club of the Umpqua Valley has registration open now through Jan. 7 for basketball players in grades 3-6.

Games are played on Saturdays starting Jan. 29. and the season finishes with a tournament on March 12.

The registration fee is $100, with partial scholarships available for those that qualify.

The Boys and Girls Club is also looking for coaches to help this season. Applications are being accepted for all grade levels.
