The Umpqua Community College men’s basketball team loaded up against the Pacific University JV team in a nonconference home game Wednesday night.

The Riverhawks had six players reach double figures on the way to a season-high 121-78 win over Pacific.

Talon Valdes nearly had a triple-double in the big win. The freshman put up 22 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Aaron Dolney and Jake Sampson each added 18 points, while Jaden Schwab had 17, Robbie Moore had 16 and Dante Sofia added 10.

UCC led by as many as 55 points in the win. The Riverhawks shot extremely well, making nearly 71% of their shots from the floor and 87% from the free throw line.

The Umpqua men will continue the season next week with the Everett Community College Crossover event.
