GRANTS PASS — The Roseburg volleyball team finished out the regular season with a win over the Grants Pass Cavers on Tuesday, clinching a berth in the Class 6A state playoffs.

The Indians (13-8; 6-4 SWC) swept Grants Pass in a Southwest Conference match and secured a top 3 finish in the conference standings, which guarantees a postseason berth. The set scores were 25-17, 25-14, 25-9.

The brackets for the state playoffs won’t be set until the OSAA RPI rankings freeze this weekend. Roseburg will begin the playoffs on Oct. 27.

Elsewhere, Sutherlin earned a share of the Far West League volleyball title Tuesday with a win over Brookings-Harbor in straight sets at the Dog Pound. The Bulldogs finished tied for first with Cascade Christian. The two teams will play a tiebreaker match at 1 p.m. Saturday at South Umpqua High School.
