After starting the season undefeated, the Roseburg High School football team is starting to get some attention at the Class 6A level.

In the most recent coaches and media polls, Roseburg (3-0) has received votes for the first time this year.

The Indians received 18 points in the coaches poll, conducted by staff with the OSAA. Roseburg received the fewest points in the poll and checks in at No. 12 in the rankings. Sheldon is the only other Southwest Conference team to make the rankings. The Irish received 35 votes and check in at No. 10.

Roseburg was also in the “others receiving votes” category in this week’s media poll, conducted by SB Live Oregon. The Indians were once again two spots outside the top 10 with four points in the voting. Sheldon was just ahead of Roseburg with 14 votes, but just outside the top 10. North Medford also received a vote in the poll.

Roseburg will face McMinnville this week in its first official home game of the season. The Grizzlies are 2-1 through three weeks of the season. The game is slated to kickoff at 7 p.m. Broadcast coverage begins at 6:45 p.m. on The Score 92.3 FM/1490 AM or watch live on 541radio.com.
