The Umpqua Community College volleyball team earned its third win of the season with a sweep of the College of the Siskiyous at home on Wednesday night.

Umpqua (3-1) won by scores of 25-22, 25-21, 25-15.

The Riverhawks’ attack was once again led by former Roseburg High School standout Sierra Paroz. The freshman had a game-high 17 kills, eight digs and two blocked shots.

Paroz was named the NWAC Southern Region Offensive Player of the Week last week.

Another Roseburg grad, Ellie Bruton, tied for the team lead with 10 digs in the match. Sammi Frank led the Riverhawks with 21 assists.

Umpqua will next prepare for a crossover tournament held at Pierce College. The Riverhawks face the host team in their first match on Friday.
