The Roseburg High School girls basketball program has paused team activities due to health and safety protocols after a positive case of COVID-19 was discovered at the school this week.

Roseburg Public Schools Superintendent James Cordon announced in a statement that the district was alerted to the case by the Douglas Public Health Network on Wednesday and that all individuals who need to isolate and quarantine have been notified.

The girls basketball program will stop practices this week, but plan to resume next week with all student-athletes not affected by the quarantine measures.

Roseburg girls basketball is scheduled to begin its season on May 17 at home against South Medford. The release says that adjustments to the schedule may be required because of the positive case and contact tracing.
