Local sports are making their way back to the Umpqua Basin. The Umpqua Community College cross country team hosted the Riverhawk Invitational on Saturday, marking the team’s first meet in over a year.

UCC took first in both of the 5,000 meter races. Konrad Raum won the men’s race in a time of 18:36.75. Roseburg native Samantha Eichman took the women’s race in a time of 24:57.63.

Other local runners included Tristan Woods and Tyler Lindsey from Roseburg, who finished 2nd and 3rd respectively in the men’s race. Roseburg’s Enrique Molina-Sanchez placed 14th.

In the women’s race Roseburg’s Elizabeth Jarvis placed 7th.

The Riverhawks will host another race Saturday.
