Less than 24 hours after facing Stanford in a Pac-12 Conference game at Gill Coliseum, the Oregon State University athletic department announced Tuesday morning that the men’s basketball program has been put on hold due to COVID-19 testing and contact tracing protocols.

The Beavers are postponing games on the road this week against Colorado and Utah due to the pause.

Oregon State was missing four coaches and one player in its 81-71 loss to Stanford on Monday and in their comeback win against Cal on Saturday.

No make up dates have been announced for the two games postponed this week. The OSU men also have a game against USC to make up as well.

With the men pausing team activities, that means both basketball programs at OSU are now on hold. The Oregon State women have been on pause since Dec. 20 and have had to postpone five games total. The latest added to the list were this week’s road games against California and No. 1 Stanford.
