Former Roseburg High School basketball star Jordan Stotler is heading overseas to continue her basketball career as a professional.
The 6-foot-4 Stotler recently signed a contract to play for BC Pharmaserv Marburg, which plays in the top professional division in Germany. Stotler is projected as a starter for the Blue Dolphins, who begin their season in the coming weeks.
“We were looking for a great player who gives us presence under the basket, is fast and strong in the in-and-out,” said Marburg coach Julian Martinez on the team’s webiste. “Jordan was our best option. ”
Stotler finished her college playing career with the Portland State Vikings last winter, after two seasons at PSU. She broke Portland State’s single-season record for blocked shots with 100 and led the Big Sky Conference.
She told the Marburg team website that she feels the team is a good fit for her and that she wants to become someone the team can trust on both ends of the floor.
Prior to her time at Portland State, Stotler was also a standout at Umpqua Community College. She twice set the NWAC single-season blocked shot record and was named the South Region MVP during her freshman year.
Stotler was also a two-time all-Southwest Conference selection at Roseburg High School.
