It’s a “what could have been” type of moment for a handful of Oregon Ducks and Oregon State Beavers after the Associated Press released its preseason All-America teams on Tuesday.
Oregon’s Penei Sewell, Kayvon Thibodeaux and Jevon Holland and Oregon State’s Hamilcar Rashed Jr. were all named to an All-America team, highlighting what the standouts might have accomplished if they were on the gridiron this fall.
Sewell, a potential top five pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, was named one of two first team offensive tackles. Thibodeaux, a sophomore defensive end, and Rashed Jr., a senior linebacker, were selected to the defensive first team.
Holland, a junior safety for the Ducks, was a second team selection.
