For those looking for a distraction to all the coronavirus news and wanting some sort of sports entertainment, local golf courses are still operating with only a few small guidelines to protect public health.

The Roseburg Country Club is open to members, but will suspend public play until further notice.

The country club is encouraging golfers to keep a six-foot distance between others and is asking golfers to leave the pin in the hole to reduce touching of common areas.

Golf carts are still available for use and will continue to get a cleaning after every use. The golf shop, locker rooms and other common areas will receive cleanings every two hours.

The Roseburg Country Club is also continuing to serve food for take out and eating on while on the course.

Stewart Park Golf Course in Roseburg and Oak Hill Golf Course in Sutherlin are still open to the public and are encouraging golfers to follow similar guidelines as the country club.

The two courses are also enforcing more detailed cleaning instructions for golf carts, pro shops and other common areas.
