NEW YORK — The Oregon and Oregon State women’s basketball teams both finished in the top 15 and the Pac-12 Conference dominated in the final Associated Press top 25 rankings, released Tuesday.
The Oregon women finished second in the nation and received four first place votes from the AP voters. It’s the highest final ranking for the Ducks in program history.
South Carolina received the other 26 first place votes to finish No. 1 for the first time in school history.
Oregon State finished the season at No. 14. The Beavers had been ranked as high as No. 3, but stumbled a bit after taking a number of losses in the loaded Pac-12.
As a conference, the Pac-12 had six teams in the final AP top 25, the most of any conference in the nation. Also in the poll were No. 7 Stanford, No. 10 UCLA, No. 12 Arizona and No. 25 Arizona State.
