The final week of the fall sports regular season gets underway Tuesday for Umpqua Valley volleyball and boys and girls soccer teams.
The Roseburg volleyball team will look to improve on its 2-6 Southwest Conference record and will finish the regular season with matches against the two teams the Indians have already beaten this season. A pair of wins to finish the regular season could lead to a playoff berth for the Tribe.
Up first is a showdown against South Medford at RHS on Tuesday. The Tribe tips off at 6:45 p.m.
Things are wrapping up Tuesday for Far West League volleyball teams. Sutherlin has a chance to claim the league title with a victory against Brookings-Harbor, which is 0-9 in league play. The Bulldogs are tied with Cascade Christian, but Sutherlin holds the head-to-head tiebreaker. So, a win for Sutherlin would clinch the title. Tuesday’s match between Sutherlin and Brookings-Harbor starts at 6 p.m.
Also in the Far West, the Douglas volleyball team has made a late push to stay in the playoff conversation, but the Trojans visit South Umpqua on Tuesday as the Lancers look to keep their own postseason dreams alive. The match starts at 6 p.m.
