Umpqua Valley Christian school will host its first annual golf tournament fundraiser to support its athletics department this Saturday at Cougar Canyon Golf Course in Myrtle Creek.

The four-man scramble begins with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Money raised from the event will support athletics at the private school, which participates in volleyball, soccer, basketball, baseball and track and field.

The cost of the event is $100 per person. The fee includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, plus a BBQ lunch. Prizes will be given out for the winning team, closest to the hole, longest drive and a raffle will be held as well.
