REEDSPORT – The Glide boys and Oakland girls took home the team titles at the Jack Blum Invitational in Reedsport.

Dillon Towne led the Wildcats in their team victory. The senior won all three throwing events. He won the shot put by nearly six feet over teammate Zach Vigil, claimed the discus title by almost 50 feet and won the javelin with a throw nearly seven feet farther than second place.

Oakland took second in the boy’s competition. Top performers were sophomore Easton West, who won the 100 and 200 meter races and took second in the 400. And Colton Langdon won the 110 and 310 meter hurdles.

The Oakland girls swept the high jump, long jump, triple jump and pole vault on their way to victory. Hadley Brooksby won the high jump, triple jump and long jump, while Johanna Simonson took first in the pole vault.

SMALL SCHOOLS ON THE DIRT COMPETITION
Riddle’s track and field teams won the boys and girls titles in the Smalls Schools on the Dirt competition in Riddle. The Irish won 10 of the 23 boys and girls events that were held. Hunter Buchanan won three events in the boy’s competition and Hayden Perez won two. Alexzandra Miles and Hannah Hull each won two events in the girl’s competition.
