Umpqua Valley Christian senior Aaron Buechley was a guest on Off The Wall on Monday, Jan. 28 to discuss the Monarch’s triple overtime win against North Douglas on Saturday. The win moved UVC a half game ahead of North Douglas and Days Creek for first place in the Skyline League North standings.

“It was a tone-setter,” Buechley said. “It was a good team win. We just came together as one and it really felt like a turning point in our season.”

The Monarchs handed the Warriors their first home loss of the year and took the head-to-head tiebreaker against North Douglas. With five games left on their regular season schedule, Buechley says the team has a strong chance of making a run at a league title.
