MEDFORD – The Roseburg boys basketball team hit a wall in the third quarter and North Medford ran away with a 68-43 victory over the Indians in a non-conference game at North Medford High on Tuesday.

Roseburg (10-4; 0-0 SWC) fought back from a six-point deficit in the first quarter and tied the game 24-24 going into the halftime break. Collin Warmouth scored nine of his game-high 26 points in the second quarter to pace Roseburg’s comeback.

North Medford (8-6; 0-0 SWC)came out of the locker room in the second half and picked-up its defensive intensity. The Black Tornado forced Roseburg into turnovers on its first three possessions and outscored the Indians 19-7 in the third period. North Medford continued to stretch the advantage in the fourth quarter and led by as many as 28.

Warmouth was Roseburg’s only player in double figures. Jett Black and Kaden Seely scored five points each and were the second leading scorers for the Tribe. North Medford had 10 players finish with at least one point. Darrius Wells led the way with 16 and Jett Carpenter added 10.

Roseburg will next host the Sheldon Irish to begin Southwest Conference play on Friday.
