The Umpqua Community College men’s basketball team pulled off a couple of upset wins against ranked opponents during an NWAC Crossover Tournament hosted by the RiverHawks December 14-16. Head coach Daniel Leeworthy was a guest on Off The Wall on Monday, December 17 to discuss his team’s performance over the weekend and through the start of the season. He talks about the returning leadership he’s gotten from sophomores Eric Klekas and Connor Shaw, as well as the additions of a large and talented freshman class. Leeworthy also explains why he scheduled a road trip to Utah to start the year and what he expects out of the Southern Region during the NWAC league season.
