ROSEBURG – The Roseburg High School wrestling program will gear up for the start of the 2018-19 season with its annual Orange and Black dual at the Robertson Memorial Gymnasium on Tuesday night. The intra-squad scrimmage will give this year’s team a chance to experience a home dual in front of the Roseburg faithful.
Wrestling starts at 6:30 p.m. The wrestling program will be selling root beer floats in commemorative cups for $5 as a fundraiser for the program.
Roseburg wrestling has won five straight team state titles and has claimed 10 of the last 12 state championships. The Indians graduated two individual state champions from last year, but return five state placers and 16 state qualifiers.
The Indians will officially start the season on Friday, November 30 at the McNary Duals in Salem. Roseburg went 2-0-1 in three duals to start the season last year at the same competition.
