The 122nd Civil War game will be played between Oregon and Oregon State on Friday, November 24 in Corvallis. The Ducks beat the Beavers 69-10 last year in Eugene, but OSU defeated UO 34-24 in 2016, the last time the two sides met in Corvallis.

This will be the first meeting between current head coaches Mario Cristobal (Oregon) and Jonathan Smith (Oregon State). Both are in their first year as head coaches at their respective schools. Cristobal was a part of the match-up in 2017 as Oregon’s co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach. Smith went 2-2 against Oregon as a quarterback and won both Civil War games played in Corvallis during his playing days. He was also on the sidelines as a Graduate Assistant from 2002-03.

Here’s a look at what both coaches had to say about the rivalry game during their weekly press conferences on Monday, November 19.
