(OCT. 4, 2018) – It’s a busy day in Far West League volleyball action on Thursday. The league season is hitting the home stretch and it’s moving time for teams looking to make a post season push.

Douglas and Sutherlin will need to do some work to rise up the standings for an automatic playoff spot, but a strong finish would also increase the odds of receiving an at-large playoff spot if they miss out on an automatic one.

Fourth place Douglas welcomes in third place St. Mary’s, while Sutherlin, which is tied with Douglas, hosts second place Cascade Christian. Both matches start at 6:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, league leader South Umpqua inches closer to a Far West title as the Lancers face last place Brookings-Harbor at home at 6:30 p.m.
