TRI-CITY – A late penalty kick by the South Umpqua girls soccer team sent a league match against Sutherlin to a 2-2 draw in Tri-City. South Umpqua’s Jenna Castro scored her second penalty kick goal of the game with seven minutes remaining to even the tally against the Bulldogs. Sutherlin had taken a 2-1 lead on a goal early in the second half.

It was the first tie of the conference season for the Lancers and the second-straight for Sutherlin. Both teams are back to action with conference matches on Thursday.
