ALBANY – The Roseburg volleyball team claimed a consolation championship at the South Albany State Preview Tournament hosted by the South Albany Rebels on Saturday. The Tribe won three best-of-three matches against Barlow, Sheldon, and Crook County to take home a trophy.

Roseburg first won against Barlow in two sets, but had to go three sets against Sheldon, the defending Southwest Conference champions. The Indians polished off the title run with a narrow two-set win over Crook County.

Roseburg has won four straight matches and five of its last six. Up next, the Tribe returns to conference play with a home match against South Medford on Tuesday.
