Medford’s Joe Johnson throws a three-hit shutout in six innings to guide the Medford Mustangs to a 12-0 win over Mid-Valley at the AAA American Legion state tournament. Johnson had 10 strikeouts against the SouthPaws. Justin Geyer led the Medford offense, going 3-for-3 with three RBI. Medford moves on to face Dallas Post 20 in the quarterfinals of the winner’s bracket. Mid-Valley will play an elimination game against the winner of Hillsboro and Roseburg.
