Salem scored seven runs in the top of the first inning and drove Beaverton’s starter Callan Mcrae out of the game before recording an out. The Withnell Dodgers held on to the lead despite a rally by Beaverton and stretched the lead to 9-6 with a couple of late runs. Ike Lovings had a three-run homer in the first inning for Beaverton to get Post 124 on the board, but their offense came up short in the high-scoring affair.
