The defending state champion Medford Mustangs scored late to earn a 2-1 win over Beaverton Post 124 in the first game of the 2018 AAA American Legion baseball state tournament. Medford will face the winner of Salem and Mid-Valley. Beaverton will face the loser of the same match-up.
