COOS BAY – It’s win or go home time for the Roseburg Dr. Randols American Legion baseball team. The Crowns didn’t have the offensive fire power to keep up with North Coos in a 19-2 loss on Thursday. Now, they face elimination from the Class-A state tournament on Friday.

Dr. Randols gave up two grand slams in the game. Jayden Frank and Dallas McGill both cleared the fences with the bases loaded and combined to drive-in 13 runs for North Coos. Frank also hit a two-run homer earlier on in the contest, helping power the Waterfront to the lopsided win.

CJ Gale started the scoring for Dr. Randols by driving in Austin Luzier with a single in the first. Luzier got into scoring position with a double. Erich Hoque added another run for the Crowns with a solo home run later in the game.

The Crowns go on to face Columbia Gorge at 3 p.m. Friday in an elimination game. The winner moves on in the tourney and the loser is headed home.

DouglasCountySportsOnline.com will broadcast the game online.
