ROSEBURG – The Roseburg softball team started its season with a 6-1 win over Crater on Monday. Madysn Blevins gave up just four hits over seven innings and drove in a run to lead the Indians. Samie Bergmann and Ericka Allen also drove in runs for Roseburg.

The RHS girls led 1-0 after the first and scored in every inning except the second and fifth.

Roseburg is scheduled to host McNary on Thursday, weather permitting.

The Glide softball team opened the year with a big result. The Wildcats pounced on Douglas 25-1 on Monday. Glide tallied 16 hits in the game, led by Whitney Stone. The senior went 3-for-3, with two home runs, five RBI, and five runs.
