UCC Sports: Hudson Salas named NWAC Male XC Athlete of the Week

Umpqua Community College cross country runner Hudson Salas was selected as one of this week’s NWAC athletes of the week, the conference announced on Wednesday.

Salas, a Winston native and Douglas High School graduate, ran a 55-second personal best time of 20 minutes, 7 seconds in the 6K race at the WOU Ash Creek Invitational last week in Monmouth.

The freshman was the top junior college finisher, taking 47th place out of 98 runners against NCAA Division I, II & III competition.
