Prep Golf: Roseburg girls place 11th at state, Silvestri 7th

WOODBURN — The Roseburg High School girls golf team wrapped up its season with an 11th place finish at the Class 6A state championship on Tuesday at the OGA Golf Course.
The Indians had a two-day total of 777 (387, 390) and finished two strokes outside the top 10. It was the first time Roseburg had qualified for state as a team since 2019.
Sophomore Lana Silvestri led the way for RHS with a two-day total of 151. She finished 7th in the individual standings, falling short of repeating her top 3 finish as a freshman in 2025.
Silvestri put herself behind the pack on Day 1 with a 6-over score of 78. She had two double-bogeys and three bogeys through her first nine holes, but settled in and shot even par after the turn.
Day 2 saw a determined improvement for Silvestri. She had just three bogeys over 18 holes and a pair of birdies to finish the day at 1-over.
Hannah Wendorf of Lakeridge took the individual title with a two-day total of 139 (5-under par). The sophomore was the only golfer to finish under par in both rounds.
Roseburg’s Irelyn Weaver finished 48th in the individual standings. The rest of the team was made up of Raeleigh Traviss (70th), Alexis Williams (71st) and Mylie Ray (79th).
