UCC: Five soccer players earn South Region all-star nods, Arroyo named co-COY
VANCOUVER — The Umpqua Riverhawks women’s soccer team had multiple players selected as South Region all-stars, the Northwest Athletic Conference announced Tuesday.
Head coach Annika Arroyo was voted co-Coach of the Year after guiding UCC to a second place finish in the South Region.
Katrina Beltran was a first team forward for the Riverhawks. The sophomore had four goals and two assists this season. Sophomores Hadley Williams and Hannah Heuberger were both first team defenders.
UCC’s first team selections are invited to play in the NWAC women’s all-star game on Nov. 16 in Seattle.
Siulose Jones (4 goals, 7 assists) and Ginne Saavedra (7 goals, 7 assists) both earned second team honors for Umpqua.
