UCC cross country teams finish 3rd at South Region Championships

The Umpqua Riverhawks cross country teams finished third at the South Region championship meet on Friday in Springfield. 

Sanyana Felipe led the way for the UCC women with a fourth place finish followed by Analise Miller in 8th place. Filipe earned first team All-Conference honors and Miller earned second team All-Conference recognition. 

The men had three runners in the top ten, led by Seth Rincon with an 8th place finish, followed by Viggo Beck in 9th place and John Patterson in 10th. All three earned second team All-Region honors.

Up next: the Umpqua teams will compete at the NWAC Championships on November 10th. The races take place at The Course: Spokane Valley in Spokane, Washington.
